Jamming out on the JetBlue Stage were musical artists Dan Zanes and Claudia Eliaza.īeyond Pride Month, we are committed to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community year-round. Over 500 LGBTQ+ families celebrated with us for a day of outdoor fun, carnival games, face painting, music, BBQ, and more. We participated in The Center’s annual Garden Party event, as well as The Center’s Family Pride Picnic. JetBlue is also proud to be the official airline for The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, known locally as simply The Center. As the #1 airline in Puerto Rico with more daily flights than any other airline, and with nearly 500 crewmembers who call Puerto Rico home, we were excited that SIGBI chose an organization that is also important to the JetBlue community. SIGBI also gave back this year to an initiative that’s close to our hearts by choosing Puerto Rican nonprofit Proyecto Matria as the 2018 beneficiary. This year, JetBlue matched all drinks purchased at The Stonewall Inn bar in Greenwich Village, NYC on Stonewall Day with a donation to SIGBI to help underserved LGBTQ+ communities. Supporting the Community on Stonewall Dayįor the second year in a row, JetBlue partnered with The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI). Crewmembers from the Sunshine State had a blast strutting their stuff and repping JetBlue in Ft. JetBlue is proud to partner with NYCGMC, and we had fun showcasing our love for this group during the NYC Pride Parade.įurther down south, JetBlue participated in the Stonewall Pride Parade in Wilton Manors, Florida. Nearly 50 JetBlue crewmembers danced and sang through the streets alongside NYCGMC during the annual New York City Pride Parade.
We were excited team up with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus (NYCGMC) during Pride Month. Now that Pride Month has come to a close, we are reflecting on how we celebrated the LGBTQ+ community throughout the month of June, and how we plan to continue supporting the community every day of the year.
